### Appearance and Character
Trentyn Feller is an elderly human man, his grey-blonde beard flowing down to his waist like spun sunlight dulled by age. Though his frame has grown stooped with the years, he carries himself with quiet dignity. He is most often seen in a hooded robe over a white breastplate emblazoned with Pelor's radiant sun. In his hand rests an ornate staff of white ivory, inlaid with veins of gold, a relic said to channel both his magic and his devotion in equal measure.
### Life of Trentyn Feller
#### Early Life
Born to House Feller, a minor noble line whose fortunes were built on the timber trade, Trentyn's early life was marked more by diligence than privilege. His family oversaw the shipping of lumber from Regania's dense southern forests to distant ports in the Wild Lands, Muxnir, and Meksiko - an honest if unglamorous business. Yet from a young age, Trentyn's mind was drawn not to commerce, but to knowledge and purpose.
He entered the University of Aekacira, where his natural gift for the arcane quickly distinguished him among his peers.
#### Life
Graduating with high honour, he found service as a court wizard to House Redhayn in Goldhearth, where he advised the kings of Goldsgrove. During his tenure there, he often accompanied the court to the Hall of the Sun, the grand temple of Pelor and seat of the Dawnfather's knights. What began as professional curiosity soon deepened into reverence for the faith, the order, and the light of Pelor itself.
Over the years that followed, Trentyn became a familiar presence in the Hall. He trained alongside the Swords of Pelor, aiding them in their understanding of magical warfare and defence. He taught the subtleties of shielding magic and counterspell, of how faith could strengthen spellcraft just as easily as steel. His role was never official - he was no knight, no sworn sword - merely a scholar whose heart had found its true calling.
That calling was tested when the Hall came under assault by cultists of Asmodeus, who sought to tear open a portal to the Nine Hells. The battle that followed was short and bloody, and though he bore no title, Trentyn stood at the forefront, shielding the wounded and driving back the devils with spells of great power. When dawn came, the Hall still stood, and its defenders owed much of that survival to his courage.
In the aftermath, Yenzin the Bastion of Truth, Paragon of Honour, came to him personally. Bound by tradition, a man could not be knighted without first being made squire - so Trentyn was made both in a single ceremony. From that day forward, the order affectionately called him “The Five-Minute Squire.”
His rise thereafter was swift, though never sought. Within two years he was appointed Dawnwarden, and in the Funeral Games of 3021, when the Paragon of Devotion passed, he placed second in the funeral games that followed. The final twelve combatants faced each other all at once in a free for all melee. The other eleven fighters joined forces to defeat him, and all bar one of them were defeated before he fell. The feat cemented his reputation, and the council of Swords unanimously named him Paragon of Devotion, bearing the title Shield of Faith.
Even to this day, Trentyn Feller remains a fixture of the Hall of the Sun. Though his body has begun to slow, his mind and spirit burn as bright as ever. He spends his days teaching squires and young knights the art of resisting dark sorcery and the discipline of unwavering faith. Many seek his counsel, for his words carry both the weight of experience and the gentleness of a devoted heart.
