While wearing the [[Plate of the Dawnmartyr]] however, his presence can match that of a giant. ### Life of Lyonel Goldenmead #### Early Life Lyonel was born in 3008 PD in Ciderhall to the then King of [[Demolduhr]], as the monarch of Demolduhr is elected, Lyonel was not given the title of [[Monarchy|Prince]], though was still heir to the family seat. He spent most of his early life in Ciderhall, and joined [[Pelor's Swords]] at a young age as a Squire to a newly made Knight of the Dawn. It is said that Lyonel excelled in his martial training and was known to be very pious even then. This led to him being knighted at the age of fifteen. #### Life As a knight, his name became well known in Aekacira. He would travel with his squire offering help to any village, town or city they found themselves in, all while spreading the word and teachings of [[Pelor]]. In his early twenties, he joined the [[Golden Scales]] in [[Zhavrin's Gate]] for two years. Spending the first year as a Scout and the second as a Scout Sergeant. Upon leaving the [[Golden Scales|Scales]], he was invested as a Dawnwarden in [[Pelor's Swords]]. Having reached the highest rank in the Swords that he could be raised to by skill and faith, Lyonel lived his life in the best way he could. He trained Squires, led companies of Knights against larger threats and spoke in councils. He never wished to raise higher as that was to wish for a Paragon's death. This did however happen in 3046, when he was 38 years old. The Paragon Quentyn of Justice, the Radiant Scales had fallen in battle against a fallen Solar of [[Pelor]], a battle that Lyonel was also injured in. The funeral games that followed saw Lyonel placing in the top ten, but not winning due to his injuries. Despite this, the Paragons elected him as the new Paragon of Justice, giving him the title of the Radiant Scales. As one of the most elite warriors and the living embodiment of [[Pelor|Pelor's]] justice, Lyonel advised world leaders, led hosts into battles and managed the day to day of the [[Pelor's Swords|Swords of Pelor]]. This was his life until 3061 PD when the then First Sword Yenzin of Honour, the Bastion of Truth died of age in his sleep. After a very quick vote, Lyonel was selected as First Sword and sworn in as the leader of [[Pelor's Swords]]. He swore upon the original Eight Pointed Star in the Hall of the Sun in [[Goldhearth]], where he now resides. ### Notable Possessions - The [[Plate of the Dawnmartyr]] - gifted to him when he was chosen as First Sword of [[Pelor]].
