### Appearance and Character
Koryn Fischer is a broad-shouldered human man, with weathered skin and sharp blue eyes that still hold the fire of youth. His brown hair, now streaked with grey, is tied back, and a neatly kept goatee frames a smile that shifts easily between warmth and challenge. He wears the traditional armour of Minraine's northern knights - layered leather over scale, built for mobility in bitter cold and sea winds - though now it gleams in enamelled white, with Pelor's golden sun emblazoned proudly across the chest. At his hip hangs his weapon of choice, a bastard sword polished from years of use rather than ceremony. Even at rest he carries an effortless confidence, moving not like a nobleman but like a fighter who has earned every scar, every victory, every title - and still expects more.
### Life of Koryn Fischer
#### Early Life
Born the second son of Lord Kynrick Fischer of Gullford, Koryn Fischer grew up in privilege within the walls of the Whitefort, overlooking the icy whaling docks of the northern coast. With no inheritance or rule expected of him, his path was his own - and in childhood, that path was shared wholly with his older brother, Thomrick. The two boys were inseparable: sparring in the training yard, racing along the piers, listening wide-eyed to whalers' tales of krakens, leviathans, and ice dragons.
But when Thomrick turned thirteen, everything changed. He was taken into private instruction to prepare for lordship - governance, trade, diplomacy - while Koryn was left behind, unnoticed and unneeded. Training became his refuge, and though he excelled with a blade, the brothers slowly drifted apart.
The divide between them became public at the Gullford tourney, staged by Lord Kynrick to display Thomrick's promise before nobles and kings. In the duelling lists, Thomrick was unexpectedly matched against his younger brother in the opening round. The duel lasted less than two minutes - Koryn bested him cleanly, easily, and before the eyes of the entire city. Thomrick's humiliation hardened into bitterness, but the crowd now watched the younger brother instead. Koryn advanced round after round until he faced Ser Brynden Keelwright, champion of the joust and son of King Alden Keelwright. Though Koryn was defeated, Ser Brynden saw his courage and skill - and before the gathered crowd, commanded him to kneel. There, at fifteen, Koryn Fischer was knighted, not by his father's will, but by the son of the King of Minraine.
The next morning, without farewell to brother or father, Ser Koryn rode south-west toward Goldsgrove, seeking the life of a wandering knight.
#### Life
Over the next five years, Koryn fought many battles, slew many monsters and travelled with many companions. The ones he cherished most were the Knight and Squire of Pelor's Swords. Ser Nancie of the Dawn and her squire Pate. He was intrigued with this order of holy knights, and would often spend the nights listening to them discuss their god, the Dawnfather. Over a year of hearing stories, his anger at his brother and father had subsided, hearing about how Pelor valued family and responsibility, he wished to see them again. And after travelling with them for so long, he was almost fully devoted. He asked Ser Nancie to make him a Squire, so he could join this order of knights and serve the god that had calmed him. Ser Nancie agreed and made him a Squire at once.
It was then that the Knight of the Dawn Ser Nancie, the Knight Squire Ser Koryn and the Squire Pate made for Gullford.
Their journey was not a peaceful one, as they, like they always did, stopped at any town and village to offer their assistance. One such town south of Reedmere, Valenville, had issues with a roaming band of Duergar coming down from the mountains and pillaging the farms nearby. The three members of Pelor's Swords rode for the mountains, and rooted out the Duergar, resulting in a bloody battle. At the end, fourteen Duergar lay dead, and Ser Nancie of the Dawn lay mortally wounded. As she said her last farewells to Ser Koryn and Pate, she drew her sword and knighted Ser Koryn in the light of the Dawnfather.
After they had wrapped her body, they stored it on their cart and turned their backs on the path to Gullford for Goldhearth, so she could be buried at the Hall of the Sun. Ser Koryn of the Dawn took Pate as his own squire now, and the two of them made their way to Goldhearth.
The next few years of his life were eventful and never seemed to slow. They arrived at Goldhearth, buried Ser Nancie of the Dawn in the tombs below the Hall of the Sun. Two months later, Koryn knighted the new Ser Pate of the Dawn, and he set out to help those in need like they had when he was a squire.
Ser Koryn, wanting to contribute more to Pelor's Swords, chose to stay at the Hall and eventually joined the Paragon of Hope, Zaryrr, the Flame of Morning on her crusade against the cruel Drow of the Underdark. It was here he was made a Dawnwarden by Paragon Zaryrr, and even began his relationship with the Drow Paragon. The two would eventually marry in 3051 PD. After two years of hard battle, he returned to Goldhearth and resumed life at the Hall. He taught classes, commanded the guards and when the Paragon of Courage fell in a skirmish in Juaridoz, he fought in the funeral games. It was here he excelled once again, unlike in his childhood however, he was not bested in the semi-finals. Now a renowned knight and experienced fighter, he defeated all those he faced, and was named Paragon Koryn Fischer of Courage, the Blade of Dawn. He knew then, it was time to return home.
With his new wife Zaryrr, the two Paragons rode for Gullford to find an aged Lord Kynrick, and a bitter acting Lord Thomrick. They stayed there eight months, patching things up with Lord Fischer and Thomrick, eventually things were good. And when Lord Kynrick passed, the two white knights stayed for the funeral. After saying farewell to his brother, for the first time in decades, Koryn left Gullford not in resentment, but in peace.
