### Appearance and Character
The Paragon of charity is a tall middle aged Sun Elven woman. She wears studded leather armour over a layer of scales, all enamelled white in the style of the Paragons of Light, with the eight pointed star of Pelor emblazened on the chest. She fights in the Elven style with scimitar and shield.
### Life of Ayluin Umefir
#### Early Life
Umefir was born in the Vianduroz Province in Illalenora in 2689 PD. Not much is known about her early life, but she moved to Eprya in the late 2700s after witnessing the destruction of a slave village in Illalenora, vowing never to participate in their society again, and to do all she can do end their barbarity.
#### Life
In Eprya, Ayluin turned her back on Corellon and searched for a new way of life. She spent time with the temples of Kord, Erathis, Pelor and Avandra, eventually deciding she wished to work with the temple of Pelor more. This was due to their emphasis on community and protection of the weak.
She joined the temple as an acolyte and remained in this role for twenty years, eventually finding a husband - Mardyn, another acolyte of Pelor. The next forty years she made a life with him, all while travelling Eprya and the Stacien Empire protecting travellers and helping villages. When her husband died, a fact they both knew they'd have to deal with as he was human, she decided to devote her life fully to Pelor and joined the Swords of Pelor as a Squire.
Due to her pre existing weapons training and years of living in Pelor's light, Ayluin was made a Squire as a formality and was knighted four months later. After twelve years as a knight, she was invested as a Dawnwarden in the first Temple she served Pelor in.
Her time as a Dawnwarden was short, lasting only five years. When a funeral games was held for a fallen Paragon of Charity, she came first in the duelling tournament and the grand melee, surprising no one and she was quickly chosen as the new replacement.
Many First Swords have died since her ascension to Paragon, but each time she has been overlooked. Some say the order has become a place that women can not lead, but most reasonable people feel the Paragons worry about choosing someone with another four hundred years of life.
